Shah Rukh Khan's "Dilwale" might have recorded an average collection at the domestic box office, but the film has shined at the international market. The 10-day overseas box office income of "Dilwale" is more than Salman Khan's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" earnings.
Shah Rukh has a huge fan following overseas and thus, he rules the international market. His latest release "Dilwale" also turned out to be a huge grosser at the overseas box office, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark. Now, "Dilwale" is the seventh highest grosser at the overseas box office. The film shattered the records of Shah Rukh's last year's release "Happy New Year" and Salman's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" to reach the seventh position.
"#BoxOffice @iamsrk 's #DILWALE has collected approx. 16.75 mil. USD [110.83 cr] at the close of its second weekend in overseas. "#UK #BoxOffice: @iamsrk 's #Dilwale crosses the lifetime business of #PremRatanDhanPayo in less than 2 weeks," trade website Bollywood Hungama tweeted.
The romantic action comedy earned Rs 16.28 crore from the UK-Ireland box office, Rs 4.40 crore from Australia, Rs 2.20 crore from New Zealand and Rs 1.48 crore from Malaysian box office in 10-day. The box office figures of the US-Canada, UAE-GCC, Pakistan and Rest of the World have not been updated yet. The overseas box office collection will go up further, once the final figure is updated.
