"Outlander" has entered its mid season finale and the spoilers for second half of season 1 suggest that Jamie Fraser could come under the wrath of Black Jack Randall and be tortured in Wentworth Prison. It is also suggested that Geillis Duncan could be burned as an act of penance.

"There were a lot of hours spent in that cell. There's a lot of rough stuff happening," executive producer Ron Moore told TV Line, adding, "Just from the dailies, you can tell that it's pretty amazing. It's pretty intense stuff, and I think it's going to really surprise people."

Viewers have witnessed Fraser's marriage to Claire Randall and their intense wedding night scene as of now. Randall's first husband has been shown on her lookout, while the former is left with a tough choice to make.

It may be mentioned that the show is based on the novel by Diana Gabaldon and it tells the story of a nurse who travels back in time and is torn between two lives. Randall is played by Caitriona Balfe and Fraser is played by Sam Heughan. The characters of both the actors have some steamy love making scenes and the upcoming episodes may heighten the heat between the two characters.

Moreover, Fraser's father Brian Fraser, who made an appearance for a few second in the episode titled "The Garrison Commander," may get a detailed introduction in the second half.

"There will be a flashback in a subsequent episode where we will revisit that episode at Fort William, and we'll identify Brian more clearly," said Moore.

Meanwhile, Moore also talked to Entertainment Weekly about the "Outlander" season 1 saying that viewers could expect more emotionally challenging scenes. He also talked about Geillis and said that it is quite exciting to bring character back.

"Outlander" may return for other half of the season on 1 April, 2015. The show has proved to be a major success and has brought immense recognition to its main cast Heughan and Balfe. The two actors are also rumoured to be dating in real life , though nothing has been confirmed yet.
