Season 3 of Outlander, which is in production, will pick up just moments after the events of the previous season with Jamie preparing for the Battle of Culloden and Claire making up her mind to travel back in time to reunite with her husband, Jamie.
The duo will definitely meet, but years would have gone by and Claire and Jamie have changed a great deal from the person they were when they first met. Jamie and Claire's reunion will be the highlight of Season 3 of Outlander, which is based on Diana Gabaldon's Voyager, but it will be a long time before Jamie meets his daughter, Brianna.
When we last saw Brianna, she was still reeling from the shock of finding out Frank wasn't her biological father. Claire was pregnant when she returned back from the past, and Frank made her promise not to reveal the truth about her paternity to Brianna as long as he lived.
So when does Brianna meet her biological father?
Warning: This post contains potential spoilers from the upcoming season of the time-travel series.
In Gabaldon's novels, Jamie does not meet Brianna until he and Claire are settled in the US. This is detailed in the fourth book – Drums of Autumn – and it will see Brianna too undertaking the journey through the stones after she comes across an old newspaper clipping that states that Jamie and Claire dies in January 1776. She manages to find her parents and it is a joyous reunion, but her elation is short-lived as Brianna realises she is pregnant with a child whose paternity she isn't sure of.
Outlander returns to Starz in April 2017. The time-travel series has Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in lead roles.
