Outlander
Brianna and Roger will be introduced on Facebook/Outlander

Season 2 episode 13 of "Outlander" will introduce viewers to two new characters who are instrumental in taking the story forward. Brianna and Roger, the characters essayed by Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin, will be introduced in the finale and we'll see Claire back in the present.

Warning: This article contains spoilers from Diana Gabaldon's "Dragonfly in Amber," the second book in the "Outlander" series.

"Outlander" will not air a new episode next week. Instead, a marathon of the first 12 episodes will be aired, and fans can catch up on Claire and Jamie's journey in France and their attempts to stop the Jacobite uprising before they are forced to return to Scotland.

The finale will see Claire returning to Lallybroch with Brianna in the hopes that Roger will help her discover what happened to the men of Lallybroch after the Battle of Culloden. Roger finds out that the men returned home safely and that Jamie did not die in the Battle of Culloden. While searching for the grave of Jonathan Randall, Frank's ancestor, they come across Jamie Fraser's gravestone, and Claire is forced to tell Brianna that Jamie is her father and not Frank.

Brianna refuses to believe the story, but Roger is intrigued.

This story is intercut with another that happens on the day of the Battle of Culloden. "When Jamie's last ditch attempts to deter The Prince fail, he and Claire come up with a dangerous plan – which Dougal overhears, inciting him to a murderous rage. Jamie must do everything he can to save the ones he loves, even if it means saying goodbye to some – or all --of them," the synopsis reads.

"Outlander" airs Saturdays on Starz. The finale will air on July 9.
