"Outlander" will be back on Starz with mid-season premiere titled "The Reckoning" on Saturday, 4 April, and will revolve around Claire Beauchamp Randall (Caitriona Balfe), James "Jamie" MacKenzie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Frank Randall/Jonathan "Black Jack" Randall (Tobias Menzies).

Apart from exploring the relationship between Jamie and Claire, the show will also focus on various challenges faced by them from Black Jack.

Fall finale of the romantic sci-fi drama titled "Both Sides Now" ended with a cliffhanger, wherein the  Captain of His Majesty's Dragoons was about to rape World War II combat nurse and the Scottish warrior reaches out for her help.

Though Jamie saves Claire from the custody of Black Jack in "The Reckoning", they are still not out of danger as the devious Black Jack will continue to chase them. According to executive producer Ronald D. Moore, " [Black Jack] Randall is not done with our couple, and it's going to be dark."

Meanwhile, Moore also revealed that the second half of "Outlander" will be about fallout and repercussions. "We start to see the political aspect of the Jacobites and the Red Coats," he told The Wrap.

However, the relationship between Jamie and Claire is expected to strengthen after an infamous spanking scene, wherein the Scottish warrior punishes his love for disobeying him, and it was reportedly choreographed to perfection.

During the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Irish actress Balfe revealed that the "Outlander" team did several rehearsals before actually filming the scene. "First and foremost, we have to remember that you have to look at it in the mind-frame of 1743. It's very hard as a modern person to see this is OK under any circumstances. But in 1743, this was a very justified form of punishment that a husband would [dole] out," she said.

"But we wanted to not take it lightly. We wanted to approach it very respectfully. We talked a lot about it, we met a few times, we choreographed it quite well. When it came to the day, we tried to give it the respect it deserved," added the actress.

So "Outlander" fans can watch more stunning sequences in the upcoming episodes of the show.
