When host Neil Patrick Harris walked onto the stage in his underwear to pay tribute to Alejandro González Iñárritu's "Birdman", it became one of the best moments of Oscars 2015 for the film's cast and crew.
Harris depicted a scene from the movie, wherein Michael Keaton's character "Birdman" is seen in his underwear outside the Times Square.
The black comedy drama, received nine Oscar nominations, Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing and Best Original Screenplay and won an award for Best Cinematography until now.
"Birdman" was critically acclaimed for its cast's performance and cinematography. It received numerous awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the 72nd Golden Globe Awards as well as Outstanding Cast in a Motion Picture at the 21st Screen Actors Guild Awards.
The storyline of the movie revolves around the life of a faded Hollywood actor Riggan Thomson, who was known for his role as superhero "Birdman".
The movie, which was released on 14 November, features Michael Keaton as Riggan Thomson, Edward Norton as Mike Shiner, Emma Stone as Sam Thomson, Naomi Watts as Lesley, Zach Galifianakis as Jake, Andrea Riseborough as Laura and Amy Ryan as Sylvia Thomson.
