Season 2 of "Orphan Black" was indeed packed with a punch. In the finale of Canadian science fiction series new male clones were added, including Mark, the Prolethean. As a part of the Project Castor he was revealed as one of the clones.
Season 2 also saw addition of a new cast, namely Patrick J Adam as Jessie and Michiel Huisman as Cal. Jessie was the man Helena met at the bar and Cal was Sarah's ex-boyfriend and Kira's biological father.
Those who watched the last few episode of the show would know that Helena sneaked out of Sarah's place to meet Jessie. But she was unable to meet him, as she was kidnapped. Now rumours are rife that Helena would be meeting Jessie in the upcoming season.
It is being understood that J Adam may not make a return in "Orphan Black" season 3 but Huisman could very well return.
Regarding his character, Huisman has suggested in one of his interviews that Cal is a tech friendly guy but has bitter memories.
"He opens up a little about his past to Felix. Cal is a smart guy who has a tech background and is a successful entrepreneur. He founded a company that started as a great cause creating mini drones and pollinators, but his partners sold out from underneath him to the military. That made him bitter. That made him more anti-corporation, maybe even more anti-government-involvement than he already was," Huisman told Hollywood Reporter.
There was another character who was introduced in season 2's finale, which was Sarah's little clone sister. She would definitely be seen in season 3 as per the show's executive producer Graeme Manson.
"Yeah, we'll see more of her [Charlotte]. Like Kira, Charlotte adds to the stakes. She's an innocent and she is apparently part of the reason that Marian Bowles is putting her neck on the line and throwing her lot in with Sarah and her clones," Manson said to Entertainment Weekly.
"A little bit. But I can't say they've given me too much info, which is okay with me because I'm always excited to be surprised by what they come up with. But I think we are going to have a little chat about what's coming up and I'm just excited to hear what they have in store."
Meanwhile, Tatiana Maslany who plays Sarah on the show, recently suggested that she has no idea about season 3 and is excited for the unknown.
"A little bit. But I can't say they've given me too much info, which is okay with me because I'm always excited to be surprised by what they come up with. But I think we are going to have a little chat about what's coming up and I'm just excited to hear what they have in store," Maslany sain in an interview to the Website.
Orphan Black" will be back in 2015, with Season 3.
