Season 3 premiere of Netflix's "Orange is the New Black" is months away, but spoilers on what to expect in the upcoming season have been doing the rounds for months now.
Although season 3 promises to be lighter than the previous one, there is going to be no dearth for drama as the ladies of Litchfield deal with new challenges.
Here's what's in store for some of the characters in the highly anticipated season 3.
Alex: Season 2 did not feature much of Alex, but that's going to change when the series returns for the summer, and she will be in every episode of season 3.
"It sucked because [show creator] Jenji Kohan and I wanted me to be in it more, but with the schedule, it didn't happen," Laura Prepon explained to Us Weekly on why she was absent in season 2. "I was so bummed out. But I handled it, so I'm in every [episode] in season three. It is so good."
"Orange is the New Black" fans were disappointed to see Alex in the sidelines in most of season 2, and towards the end of season 2 we saw Piper (Taylor Schilling) make a decision to save her ex by getting her thrown back in prison.
Piper: Piper's relationship with Alex is going to come under a lot of strain when the latter finds out that her ex was responsible for her being back in prison.
Alex won't be grateful that Piper did what she did to save her from being killed. "Alex sees through her bulls---," Prepon told TVGuide about Alex's reaction. "When Alex does find out, she's going to know why [Piper] did it and it will be really interesting."
Vee: The last we saw of Vee, she had escaped from prison and was probably dead after being run over by Rosa. But have we seen the last of the manipulative matriarch? "She's definitely not long gone. I wouldn't say she's long gone at all," Danielle Brooks told Collider about her on-screen adoptive mother.
Season 3 of "Orange is the New Black" will air on 12 June.
