So much has been written about the upcoming "Orange Is The New Black" (OITNB) season 3 though it is still months away before being premiered on Netflix. Now, latest spoilers have hinted that the makers of the series may brighten up darkness seen in season two.
Writer Lauren Morelli has revealed in an interview to Pittsburgh City Paper that "Orange Is The New Black" season 3 will be different from the previous season.
"Season two was really dark and I think we really were excited about playing with this antagonist of Vee and seeing what that force would do to the characters we started to love over a season. I think season three is sort of a natural rebound from that darkness. Some of the joy comes back to Litchfield that was lost," Lauren told Pittsburgh City Paper when asked about the upcoming series.
Apart from old characters returning to the show, several new faces like Ruby Rose, Mike Birbiglia, Mary Steenburgen, Blair Brown, and Marsha Stephanie Blake have joined it. Ruby Rose has been roped in to play Stella Carlin, the love interest of the main characters, Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and Alex Vause (Laura Prepon), Steenburgen will play Pornstache's mother, while Blake will appear as a officer at the Litchfield prison.
It may be mentioned that creator of "Orange is the New Black," Jenji Kohan, the main theme of the season is "faith." More focus is expected to be placed on Piper and Alex's relationship, as Laura Prepon (Alex) is said to be one of the lead actors to be seen in 13 episodes of the show.
"Orange Is The New Black" season 3 will be premiered on 12 June, 2015. The first episode is called "It's the Great Blumpkin, Charlie Brown," and some of the episodes are said to be called "The Great Hate Fuck," "Gay Feet," and "I'm a Bitch Because I'm Sad."
