Production of "Orange Is the New Black" season 3 has already begun and with season 2 already aired, fans can't wait to get their hands on the new season.
Fans are excited to see what next would happen in Piper Chapman's life and how her relationship would further unfold with her jail inmates. Though there are no major details announced in regards to Chapman's life in prison, it is reported that some characters from season 1 and 2 would also appear in season 3. They are apparently the mainstay of the series.
Dascha Polanco who plays savvy Daya on the show would be seen reappearing in season 3 and would also be seen in further seasons as per the reports. Yael Stone will also be been seen playing the beloved and good spirited character of Lorna Morello. Other two actress who have been announced as regulars on the show include Samira Wiley, who plays Poussey Washington, and Adrienne C. Moore, who plays Black Cindy.
It has also been reported that Laura Prepon would appear on all 13 episodes of season 3, which means that the fans would get to see a lot more of Alex Vause. Apparently, fans were quite upset when Prepon made a sparse appearance in season 2. It was being said that Prepon as a scientologist was being objected by the church to play lesbian on television.
However, the former "That 70's Show" actress played down the rumors of her quitting the show.
"It's ridiculous because it's not true. I'm a huge supporter of the LGBT community," Prepon told Entertainment Weekly. "I try to put a good spin on it, which is, 'Okay, cool. People are huge fans of the show and my character and they're trying to come up with excuses about where I'm going.' It's ridiculous and I try to laugh at it."
Meanwhile, regarding her character Prepon further said that that the role of Vause fits her like tee.
"Alex fits me like a glove, man," further said Prepon. "The fact remains that I want to do Orange, and it's a matter of trying to balance different aspects of your career." Unfortunately, there was not two of me," she says. "I tried to do as many Oranges as I could. For season 3, I've already handled it so it's not going to be a problem."
Buzz also suggested that Oscar winner Mary Steenburgen will be the new face in the third season. However, no details about her character has been released yet.
"Orange Is the New Black" Season 3 is expected to be released in early 2015.
