Consumer electronics giant LG recently launched its flagship smartphone Optimus G in the Indian market.
LG's South Korean counterpart, Samsung, had launched the Galaxy S3 in India more than seven months ago and is registering good sales in the sub-continent and worldwide. A couple of days ago, Galaxy S3 won the 'Best Smartphone Award' at the ongoing MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2013 beating Apple iPhone 5.
But, does the LG Optimus G pack enough punch to end Samsung's Galaxy S3 successful run in India?

Remark:
Regarding its display, Optimus G has a slight edge over Galaxy S3 with pixel-density of 356 pixels per inch, compared to latter's 320 ppi display resolution. That's not all, the Optimus G has a 13.0-megapixel camera where as Samsung's flagship smartphone sports an 8.0-megapixel main camera.
In other aspects such as processor speeds, battery capacity, mobile operating system they both have negligible differences.
Samsung recently made a smart move by slashing Galaxy S3's prices to ₹29,480. This price-cut might have an effect on Optimus G (₹35,500) sales in a price-sensitive market like India. Also, Galaxy S3's record worldwide sales has added an extra incentive to Samsung's brand value over rival LG.
