Oppo has been in the news for its upcoming R7 smartphone that is expected to bring impressive specs targeting the flagship market.
The new handset is expected to be launched officially on Wednesday, 20 May, but the product has already been listed on China's JD.com retail site. The listing cleared the air about the Oppo R7's high-end specs and also revealed the price of the handset, which is still in flux.
According to JD.com's listing of Oppo R7 (translated), the smartphone is expected to be launched with a price tag of CNY2,999 in China, which roughly translates to ₹30,800. But the retailer has also noted that the official pricing will only be announced with the official launch on Wednesday.
Besides pricing, the product listing also revealed the detailed specifications of the upcoming handset. Oppo R7 is said to feature a 5-inch Full HD IPS display with 441ppi and powered by a 1.7GHz 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU, Phone Arena reports. There's 16GB inbuilt storage with no word on microSD card expansion.
In addition, Oppo R7 is expected to sport an impressive 20.7mp rear-facing camera with LED flash and an 8mp front snapper. The handset will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Oppo is also expected to integrate the latest quick-charge technology in its R7 smartphone by supporting VOOC standard to charge the handset to 75% in just 30 minutes. The handset will house a 2,320mAh battery along with dual SIM support and 4G LTE on both slots.
Oppo hasn't publicly spoken about the R7 specs or price. Luckily there isn't a long wait to find out the real deal as the handset is expected to see the light of the day on Wednesday.
