OPPO has established a strong brand presence in the premium and mid-range smartphone market. The company's flagship R9s smartphone became the highest selling Android phone in Q1 2017, and the most popular smartphone after iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The Chinese smartphone maker is expanding its portfolio with a new model this June.
OPPO R11 is the latest selfie-smartphone by the company. The phone is expected to be launched very soon in China. The promotion works are already in progress, with billboard's cropping up in various locations in China. Now, there's a new leak that gives away the key specifications of the phone.
As per the listing spotted by The Mobile Indian, the biggest highlight of the R11 smartphone is its dual rear camera setup with 20 megapixels each. The dual cameras will be placed horizontally, like iPhone 7 Plus.
Under the hood, the smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with Adreno 512 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. OPPO R11 will sport a Full HD resolution display and run Android Nougat-based ColorOS UI out-of-the-box.
OPPO R11 will compete against the likes of Xiaomi Mi 6, OnePlus 5 and others. The pricing of the R11 is unknown at the moment but is expected to cost as much as its rivals.
Another report by BGR states that OPPO will also launch a plus variant of the OPPO R11. The R11+ will feature a 6-inch display, Snapdragon 626 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Both phones are expected to be launched simultaneously next month.
