Oppo has announced a new budget smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed Joy 3, the device comes with a decent look and strong photography abilities. It will be available at Oppo stores and retail outlets at ₹7,990.
For its price, Joy 3 have to compete with Lenovo A7000, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Huawei Honor 4C and Yu Yuphoria.
"Oppo Joy 3 is a successor of Joy Plus which combines appearance, fine camera quality at an affordable price," said Oppo Mobiles India CEO Tom Lu, "The device offers endless possibilities and enjoyment to the consumers both in rural and urban India. Indian market is our top most priority and we want to launch models across categories which combine style, technology and design."
Joy 3 is a dual SIM 3G smartphone with 4.5 inch IPS screen. It packs a 2,000mAh battery with a claimed battery life of 180 hours of standby time and 1.3GHz Quad-core processor. The device offers 1GB RAM, which is expandable up to 32GB with 4GB storage.
The Oppo smartphone sports a 5mp FF primary camera and a 2mp FF secondary camera. It runs on ColorOS 2.0.1 based on Android 4.4 powered by MediaTek MT6582m and comes in two colour options - the classic white and matte grey finish.
