OPPO is going to bring another selfie smartphone to the market shortly after it launched its premium F3 Plus last month. On May 4, the Chinese tech giant is hosting an event in Mumbai to welcome the F3 smartphone, which is not a surprise considering OPPO had already announced the phone's launch in March.
As a successor to the F1s smartphone, the F3 will take the budget premium offering to new levels. Compared to its predecessor, the new phone is going to have several upgrades in line with the F3 Plus, which we recently reviewed.

OPPO hasn't been shy in sharing details of its F3 smartphone, but there are a lot of blanks to be filled on the day of launch. The company has been actively teasing the F3 smartphone, which is associated with the blockbuster movie Bahubali 2 in order to build more hype for the upcoming launch.
While the launch of the phone is just a day away, where the company will reveal the pricing and availability details of the F3, we already know most of the features.
OPPO has confirmed on a special event page that the F3 smartphone will feature a dual camera just like the F3 Plus. The front camera will have two sensors – a 16MP Beautify 4.0 and an 8MP 120-degree wide-angle – to take selfies and group selfies with a single tap.
Other specifications of the F3 smartphone include a 5.5-inch FHD display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek 6750 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage with a dedicated microSD card slot and a 3,200mAh battery.
OPPO F3 will support 4G VoLTE, dual SIM cards, a fingerprint scanner in the home button and Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based ColorOS 3.0. As for the price, it is expected to cost around Rs. 23,000, but that's yet to be confirmed by the company. We'll know for sure on Thursday, so stay tuned.
