Oppo appears to be encouraged by the sales of its selfie-centric F-series, as it is all set to release one more handset from the family. The Chinese smartphone maker is scheduled to release the Oppo F1s next week.
The company has sent out a press invitation for an event that will see the announcement of Oppo F1s. The launch event will take place at 12:00pm on Aug. 3 in Mumbai, India. The device is expected to be released into the market either on the day of its unveiling or after a few days.
The F1s is expected to be selfie lovers' delight with a superb front-snapper. It is reported that the device will mount a 16MP camera both at the front and at the back with picture enhancing software and several colour filters, and feature a fingerprint sensor on the home button. It is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with 720x1,280 resolution, come packed with a 32GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, 3GB RAM, powered by 3,075mAh battery and support dual SIM.
However, the aforementioned specifications are not confirmed, as Oppo has kept mum on the details of the handset though it is just a few days away from seeing the light of the day. The company released the F1 earlier this year and followed up with Oppo F1 Plus, an upgraded version of the F1.
It may be mentioned that Oppo F1 Plus features a 5.5-inch HD super AMOLED display with 1,920x1,080 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, Android 5.1 Lollipop–based ColorOS v3.0 operating system, 64GB internal memory expandable up to 128GB, 4GB RAM, and 2,850mAh battery with VOOC flash charge technology. It also has a 13MP camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and a 16MP front-snapper with 78.1-degree wide-angle lens, 1/3.1-inch sensor, PDAF (Phase Shift Auto Focus), f/2.0 aperture, ISOCELL technology and Beautify v4.0.
Oppo F1s is a successor of the F1 but its specification is expected to be more like that of the Oppo F1 Plus.
