Abhishek Bachchan's "All Is Well" and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's "Manjhi-The Mountain Man" opened to low responses on the first day at the box office.
All Is Well
Abhishek and Asin Thottumkal starrer "All Is Well" had a below average opening day at the box office.
"#AllIsWell Fri ₹ 2.90 cr. India biz," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The film minted Rs 2.9 crore on opening day, which is amongst the lowest first day total of this year. The opening day box office collection of "All Is Well" is lower than Anushka Sharma's "NH10", Amitabh Bachchan's "Shamitabh" and even Emraan Hashmi's "Mr X".
The pre-release buzz of "All Is Well" was not strong enough for a good opening day box office collection and now the negative reviews from critics will hamper its earnings further.
The film had a low opening and is not expected to show any growth at the box office during its opening weekend.
"All Is Well" directed by Umesh Shukla also features Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak in prominent roles.
Manjhi-The Mountain Man
Nawazuddin and Radhika Apte starrer "Manjhi-The Mountain Man" too had the same fate at the box office. The film, which had limited screen count in India, failed to garner footfalls, thus resulting in poor opening day occupancy.
The film managed to earn Rs 1 crore on its first day, which is higher than director Ketan Mehta's last release "Rang Rasiya".
But compared to "All Is Well", "Manjhi" reviews are positive and the business is expected to increase during the weekend.
