As soon as OnePlus confirmed the launch date of the OnePlus 5 smartphone, it's like the floodgates to all the rumours and leaks just got wide opened. The flagship's design was just leaked, resembling the iPhone 7 Plus and OPPO R11, and now there's more.

Amazon India, which has associated with OnePlus for years, gave away a key feature of the OnePlus 5. In addition to that, the online retailer also revealed that the phone will be released exclusively on its platform on June 22 – the day OnePlus said it would launch the phone in India.

"OnePlus 5 powered by 2.35GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM will release on 22nd June, 2017 as an exclusive at Amazon.in. Subscribe to notify and buy your OnePlus 5 only on Amazon.in," read a message in the Amazon.in's teaser landing page's source code.

The message, which was unearthed by noted mobile tipster Evan Blass, pretty much confirms that the OnePlus 5 will come with 8 gigs of RAM to support the high-performance octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. While it doesn't really come as a surprise that OnePlus would offer 8GB RAM in its upcoming flagship, it is a welcoming news for many smartphone enthusiasts who'd like to push to the extreme limits on their mobile devices.

The previous OnePlus flagships have been in line with breaking the barriers for high-end specs. OnePlus 2 had 4GB RAM, while OnePlus 3 came with 6GB RAM, both of which were one of the first few to sport such high memory capacity in a smartphone. With such high configuration, the upcoming OnePlus 5 won't leave you disappointed even with the toughest tasks at hand.

To make things interesting, OnePlus has subtly been hinting how great the OnePlus 5 camera is going to be. We already know that the handset will feature a dual rear camera, and the latest teaser by the company's CEO Pete Lau shared on Weibo suggests promising night vision optics.

GSMArena dug into the image's metadata to find out that the camera will have a 16MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture. It's clear the image has less noise and a lot of detail – an ideal composition to test your photography skills even in challenging low-light conditions.

OnePlus isn't saying anything directly about the phone right now. But it's reserving it all for the big day on June 20. We will be a part of the OnePlus 5 launch in India on June 22 to experience first-hand what this new flagship is truly capable of. Until then, let's quench our thirst for more with these timely rumours and leaks. Stay tuned for updates.
