OnePlus X received Oxygen OS 2.2.0 firmware last month, but early update adopters began to complain that their devices' camera app got corrupted.
Taking cognisance of the reports, OnePlus had offered to release a software patch soon. Now, the hotfix update has finally been made available to OnePlus X.
"We are pushing out a hotfix for the image corruption issue some of you have been seeing with the OnePlus Camera after the last update. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, we expect to see this issue fully resolved with this update," OnePlus forum administrator Helen said in a statement.
How to install OTA (Over-The-Air) update on Android phones:
Go to Settings >> About Phone >> System update
The new firmware is not a major update, the version number will remain v2.2.0 and it weighs around 9.5MB.
The update rollout process is carried out in stages, so it might take 48 hours if not more to reach all corners of the world.
Earlier this month, the Chinese smartphone maker made OnePlus X invite-free in India. It is now available on Amazon India in Onyx (black: Rs 16,999), Champagne (white: Rs 16,999) and Ceramic (Rs 22,999) variants.
