It was reported that the OnePlus Two device would be released on 1 June but it didn't happen, thus throwing up uncertainty on its release date. Interestingly, the Chinese smartphone maker has cut the price of OnePlus One.
With OnePlus Two failing to make it on 1 June, its release date is now expected to fall between July and September.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had earlier said that the "Time to change" teaser, which was taken as a hint for arrival OnePlus Two on Monday, has nothing to do with OnePlus One successor.
OnePlus One 16GB Silk White and 64GB Sandstone White will now be available $50 cheaper for a week.
The OnePlus One 16GB model is available for $249/£179 (approximately ₹17,370) and the 64GB model, for $299/£219 (approximately ₹21,300) from 1 to 7 June in the US and European regions via flash sale.
The deal is expected to come to Southeast Asia soon.
The week-long flash sale with special discount will start at 12pm GMT (8am EST) on 1 June, 2am GMT (10pm EST -1 day) on 2 June, 12pm GMT (8am EST) on 3 June, 2am GMT (10pm EST -1 day) on 4 June, 12pm GMT (8am EST) on 5 June, 2am GMT (10pm EST -1 day) on 6 June, and 12pm GMT (8am EST) on 7 June.
The OnePlus One sports a 5.5-inch LTPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, upgradable to 4.4.4 KitKat. It comes packed with 16/64 GB internal storage, 3 GB RAM, houses a 13 MP main camera and 5 MP front snapper, and has Non-removable Li-Po 3100 mAh battery.
On the other hand, the OnePlus Two is expected to come with features like 5.5-inch LTPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (401 ppi pixel density) and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocking at 1.5 GHz, and Android 5.1 Lollipop, acoording to GSMArena.
The website went on to claim that the device could have 16/64 GB internal storage and 3 GB RAM (no microSD card), 16 MP main camera with autofocus, dual-LED flash, and 5 MP front snapper, and Non-removable Li-Po 3300 mAh battery.
