After days of speculations, OnePlus on Monday officially launched the new 'One' Silk White variant in India.
"Since the official launch event in New Delhi two months ago, OnePlus India has seen an overwhelming response from the community. Living up to its 'Never Settle' mantra, OnePlus is working to bring wider range of products to the Indian market, starting first with the incredibly designed Silk White OnePlus One," said Vikas Agarwal, OnePlus (India) Regional head on the official company forum.
As expected, the company has announced that the new 16GB Silk White OnePlus One model will go on sale 24 February, the same day that the rival Xiaomi releases Mi4 (both 16GB and 64GB) for ₹19,999 and ₹23,999, respectively in India.
OnePlus, in a bid to attract more attention had allowed buyers to book the flagship smartphone 'One' without any invitation during the Xiaomi Mi4 debut Flipkart flash sale on 10 February.

Minus a couple of specifications, both the devices house similar features. But thanks to the aggressive pricing structure, OnePlus One has an upper hand over the Xiaomi Mi4.
However, both the smartphones are very limited in quantity in the market. To get OnePlus One, buyers have to register themselves in a contest conducted by the company on Facebook and official forums and if you are lucky, you get an invite to become eligible to buy the phone on Amazon India.
On the other hand, prospective consumers of Xiaomi Mi4 have to get themselves registered on Flipkart. But getting registered does not guarantee you the phone. You need to sit in front of the PC a couple of hours before the flash sale goes live. Once the countdown clock strikes zero, you have to press the buy button; it's more like playing a fastest-finger-first on the popular TV show "Kaun Banega Crorepati". Only a lucky few out of lakhs of people will be able to get their hands on the device.
