A new incremental Cyanogen OS update (build number 12.1-YOG7DAS2K1) has been released to the 2014 flagship smartphone OnePlus One and it is around 68MB in size.
"In the Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 update, we are excited to introduce Microsoft Cortana. What makes this such an exciting partnership is that by having Cortana's voice command capability deeply integrated into the Cyanogen ecosystem, we're opening the door to future capabilities that don't currently exist," said the company.
With Microsoft Cortana in place, users can use voice command by saying the launch-phrase 'Hey, Cortana' to set reminders, schedule meetings, turn on 'Quiet hours' (silent mode), on/off Airplane mode and do other tasks on OnePlus One.
Besides the voice assistant, the new update also comes with critical security features and optimisations to improve user-experience on the phone.
How to install OTA update on OnePlus One:
On getting the update notifications, select the "Yes, Download" option >> then, after downloading, select >> "Install now". The phone will restart automatically and the OS will be updated to the new version.
We would like to remind our readers that the roll-out process is being carried out in phases, so it will take at least two more weeks for the software to reach all the corners of the world.
Until then, users can also check manually on the smartphone by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check Now'.
