OnePlus to Host Event on 20 April; What do we Know so Far on OnePlus Two

Popular Chinese smartphone-maker OnePlus is reportedly planning to launch the rumoured flagship smartphone, OnePlus Two, on Monday, 20 April.

The company (via Twitter) has announced to host an event on Monday. The graphic poster showing an opened envelop with OnePlus Logo and a message inside it saying, "APRIL 20 You're invited!" followed by a cryptic phrase which reads, "From here on out, anything could happen," with a hash-tag #NeverSettle.

Later the company tweeted another post, which reads, "April 20. Can you guess what's happening? #NeverSettle," leading many to believe that the OnePlus Two smartphone, understood to be the successor of 2014 flagship smartphone might get unveiled next week.

But, this is contradictory to the company co-founder, Carl Pei, who has been quoted on numerous occasions as saying to launch second generation of OnePlus One in the second half of the 2015.

Well, we just have to wait for a few more hours to know what OnePlus really has in store for fans on 20 April.

Expected features of OnePlus Two:

Numerous reports have indicated that OnePlus Two will sport a 5.5-inch QHD (2,560x1,440p) display and inside, it is said to house the Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 810 SoC (System on Chip) backed by 4GB RAM, 64GB (expandable), 3,300mAh battery, 16mp camera on the rear-side and a 5mp snapper on the front.

Key aspect of OnePlus successor is that the company, after getting snubbed by Cyanogen (in India), it will be incorporating their in-house developer-community built Oxygen OS (based on Android 5.0 Lollipop). And it has also come to light that the company will be using metal, instead of polycarbonate to cover the rear side to make new phone look premium like tier-1 brand rivals, Samsung, Apple and HTC.

With top-of-the-line hardware feature inside the body, OnePlus Two is rumoured to come with a steep price tag of ₹33,000.
