OnePlus, despite garnering stupendous response for OnePlus 6, recently received a jolt from Xiaomi's subsidiary Poco. It launched Poco F1, the most affordable (just Rs 20,999, around $300) flagship Android phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, threatening the former's hold over the premium segment in India and select global markets. Now, OnePlus is gearing up to announce the company's second phone for the year — OnePlus 6T.
OnePlus device (model number: A6013) understood to be OnePlus 6T has received certifications from Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), getting one step closer for the debut, reported PhoneCorridor citing the official document.
There is no word on specifications of the upcoming device in the certificate, but if recent reports are to be believed, it will be getting upgrades both in terms of design and internal hardware. The company has reportedly redesigned the front panel of OnePlus 6T.
In OnePlus 6, the front-camera module also houses a speaker and other sensors. However, in OnePlus 6T, there will be a small water-drop like structure housing just the camera and rest will be hidden beneath the screen.
Under-the-hood, it is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core with bigger RAM, storage and battery capacity with faster DashCharge (aka WarpCharge) similar to the parent company's SuperVooC charging technology.
Given the situation after the launch of Poco F1, OnePlus is expected to bring OnePlus 6T in October, if not early. It can be noted that 2017-series OnePlus 5T made its debut in mid-November.
