OnePlus 5 is all set for launch on June 15 as evident in the recently leaked promo ad for the flagship handset. The promotional poster in crimson red clearly mentioned the date and time details: 2017.16.5 15:00 after it went viral on Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo.
With OnePlus 5's launch details almost confirmed, the company has now started dropping clues about the forthcoming flagship handset. First, we got to see the OnePlus 5 camera samples on Twitter and now the leaked retail packaging of the handset is making waves on the internet.
The rear dual-camera setup has been on top of the ever-growing list of leaks with OnePlus 5. The positioning of the dual camera sensors has fuelled a lot of debate recently, amid the ensuing rumours pertaining to the upcoming OnePlus flagship.
Leaks suggested a vertical setup for the rear dual-cameras while some rooted for a horizontal dual-camera setup. Now, the new retail package leak (courtesy of Android Authority) confirmed the dual cameras will indeed be placed at the back while the positioning of the camera setup still remains a mystery.
One side of the retail box reads, 'Dual Camera. Clearer Photos.' The message actually lends credence to the previous teaser camera samples posted by OnePlus on Twitter.
Apart from the leaked specifications, there is still no word on the pricing of OnePlus 5 handset. Probably, we will know it by June 15, if the leaked promo ad indeed turns out to be true. Nevertheless, an industry insider has predicted that the OnePlus 5 could cost more than its predecessor OnePlus 3T.
