We know that OnePlus is planning to unveil its flagship OnePlus 5 soon, but not its exact release date. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is still keeping mum on the device. The latest reports claim that it will see the light of day in mid-June.
OnePlus 5 is the successor of the OnePlus 3 and is one of the most-anticipated smartphones of the year. Interestingly, the Chinese company didn't name the device as OnePlus 4 as expected as the number "4" is considered unlucky in China.

OnePlus hasn't officially announced the release date of OnePlus 5, but a purported internal email from the company, as published on Weibo (via IndiaToday), has revealed that the much-awaited handset will be announced on June 15. It is not confirmed yet but appears to hold some waters as its predecessor was released during this time of the year in 2016.
OnePlus 5 is expected to sport a 5.5-inch full Quad HD display with 2,560x1,440p resolution, powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor clocking at 2.35GHz, and runs Android Nougat operating system. It is also expected to come packed with a 6/8GB RAM, and a 64GB internal memory.
In terms of camera, OnePlus 5 will reportedly come with dual-lens cameras developed by DxO Labs and the smartphone maker has even teased the quality of the camera in a Twitter post, showcasing its clarity. The handset is expected to mount a 23MP main camera and a 16MP front snapper and house a 4,000mAh battery.
It is also reported that OnePlus 5 will be reasonably priced at $499 in its home country China, but $688 in other countries.
