The launch of OnePlus 5 is still days away, but the company seems to be very impatient to let the world know how the handset will look like, and what new features the phone's camera will offer. The latest titbit straight from the horse's mouth is the ability to take photos with a blurry background, or the widely known bokeh effect.
It was the official OnePlus Twitter page which posted a model's portrait with a blurred background, and captioned it as "Totally Bokeh." Although the company didn't specifically say that the photo was taken using the upcoming OnePlus 5, it's a logical speculation that it was an attempt to showcase one of the capabilities of the new phone's camera.
If the photo is indeed related to the OnePlus 5, it will help users take photos like skilled photographers with dedicated cameras having wide aperture setting. Apple's iPhone 7 Plus comes with a similar feature called "Portrait Mode," along with 2x optical zoom.
Apart from iPhone 7 Plus, other handsets like the Huawei P10 and ZTE Blade V8 Pro also come with simulated bokeh effect.

Earlier this week, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau shared a black and white portrait of a young boy, leading many to speculate that the OnePlus 5 will feature a monochrome secondary camera.
Meanwhile, OnePlus has started sending out invites for the OnePlus 5's announcement on June 20. The press kit, which asks the receiver to "focus on what matter," includes a OnePlus 5 case with a cutout for the rear horizontal dual camera setup.
Both the back and front cameras of the OnePlus 5 are expected to have 16MP sensors. However, some reports have also suggested that the phone could have a 20MP+16MP combination.
Rumours are rife that the OnePlus 5 could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM to power the handset. The phone is also expected to have a 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution and 128GB of native storage capacity. There will also be Android 7.1.1 Nougat with OxygenOS running the show.
In India, the OnePlus 5 will be unveiled at an event which is scheduled to be held in Mumbai on June 22. Although not confirmed, the phone is expected to be the most expensive OnePlus phone ever.
