OnePlus 3 may be months away from release, but several details, including specifications and design, have been leaked. The company hasn't uttered a word on its upcoming next-generation smartphone, which is expected to be a flagship killer and give market leaders like Apple, Samsung, Motorola and others a run for their money.
The release date of OnePlus 3 may fall in mid 2016. The OnePlus One was released in June 2014, while its successor OnePlus 2 was launched in August. So, the upcoming flagship smartphone is also expected to be released at around the same time.
Specifications and design of the OnePlus 3 have been leaked, but one must take it with a pinch of salt as it is still months away before seeing the light of day. According to renders leaked by Mobile-Dad (via GizChina), the device resembles its predecessor, the OnePlus 2. Interestingly, there are no speakers on the rear of the device, which means it could be placed in the front. Many will welcome this design if it introduced.
The report also has revealed a few specifications of the device. It is expected to have screen with 1920 x 1080 resolutions and is likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.
OnePlus 3 could well turn out to be flagship killer if past trends are anything to go by. The company became famous by releasing its OnePlus One in 2014 with specifications on par with high-end devices from other companies, but with much lesser price tag. Its current flagship device, the OnePlus 2 too has received good feedback, so expectation on the upcoming device is obviously high.
