Eagerly awaited smartphone of the year OnePlus 3 has been spotted on a popular performance benchmarking website, revealing key features of the device.
OnePlus 3 code named "Rain Rain A3000" has been listed on Geekbench website. It has scored 5012 and 2266 points in multi-core and single-core tests, respectively.
What's interesting to know about OnePlus 3 model is that it comes with a whopping 6GB RAM. Once launched, this will be the third handset in the global market to boast such a high capacity of RAM. The only other two devices to house 6GB RAM are Vivo XPlay Elite and the recently unveiled LeEco Le Max 2.
OnePlus 2, which was touted as "2016 Flagship Killer" by the company, fell flat for lack of innovation and also the internal hardware was not that superior compared to rivals. Now, the firm seems to have learnt its lesson by incorporating PC-grade RAM in its successor. For the uninitiated, higher RAM capacity make the device more efficient and lag-free.
Other expected features of OnePlus 3 include 5.5-inch screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon (8996) quad-core processor, Adreno 530 graphics engine, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, a 16MP primary camera and an 8MP with snapper on the front, reported Phone Arena.
It is also believed that OnePlus 3 might come with a dedicated shutter button, dual-tone LED flash, Near Field Communication (NFC), USB Type C port and an alert slider.
Word on the street is that OnePlus might launch two other variants – "Rain A3000" and another "Rain A3003". These models will be slightly different in terms of screen size, storage and RAM capacity.
So far, the company has not responded to the speculations reported in the media. OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau in February confirmed that OnePlus 3 would be unveiled in the second quarter.
If rumours are to be believed, OnePlus 3 might be unveiled on May 28 and go on sale in the first week of June.
