OnePlus 2 Sketches Leak Online, Tipped to Come in 3 Variants with Dual-Camera Feature

Sketches of OnePlus 2 have surfaced online revealing the key design elements of the upcoming device.

As per the documents available with Business Insider, OnePlus 2 is said to feature a new design principle and also hints the use of metal and dual-camera modules in the device.

In the image, we see OnePlus 2 with USB Type C port at the bottom with a label saying stainless steel, thus confirming that the upcoming device will boast metal chassis around edges. Another pointer on the top reveals that the handset will have an 8mp front camera. Its predecessor features a 5mp front snapper.

And on the rear side, we see two circular spaces on top (middle); many believe these to be the dual-camera module. It is strikingly similar to 2014 flagship HTC One M8. Below the camera module, there is a curved rectangular strip with a label finger-print sensor.

Early this week, OnePlus had confirmed that OnePlus 2 will sport a finger-print security sensor, but declined where it will be placed. Going by the leaked blueprint, we believe it will be placed on the rear side just like HTC One Max. [View the OnePlus 2 sketches, HERE]

In a related development, technology blog Droid Life, while sifting through the Bluetooth SIG site, stumbled upon a document revealing OnePlus 2 might come in three variants: A2001, A2003 and A2005.

It has come to light that the OnePlus 2 (A2001) will be less expensive, featuring 3GB, whereas the A2003 model will house a 4GB RAM. But the specifications of A2005, understood to the top-end model are still scarce right now. We will bring updates on this as and when it develops.

Expected Features of OnePlus 2

OnePlus 2 is said to ship with the Snapdragon 810 v2.0 SoC (System on Chip), 4GB/3GB RAM, 64GB (expandable), a 3,300mAh battery, a 16mp camera on the rear side and a 8mp snapper on the front.

Despite housing top-of-the-line hardware inside the body, OnePlus Two is rumoured to come with an affordable price tag of ¥2499 (around $403/€369/₹25,752).
