Earlier this week, the Chinese company announced OnePlus 2 X upgrade scheme with additional device warranty in India.
Now, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the flagship OnePlus 2 can be purchased directly without having to go through tedious invite system, which has been in place since its release in August.
"That's right; you'll never again need an invite to purchase the OnePlus 2. We're proud to be able to make the OnePlus 2 invite-free so soon and hope this will make getting your very own OnePlus 2 a cheerfully easy experience," said Carl Pei on OnePlus official forum.
Earlier, the buyers had to register themselves in a contest conducted by the company on Facebook, Twitter and official forums. If lucky, they would get an invite to become eligible to buy the phone on Amazon India and they had to complete the purchase transaction within 72 hours. With the announcement, the consumers can buy it anytime from 5 December onwards.
The company has also revealed that the mid-range phone OnePlus X open sale will also go live on Saturday as well, but only for three days. It will conclude on 7 December.
The announcement is part of the OnePlus two year anniversary celebration. The company started doing business on 17 December, 2013.
Besides open sale of OnePlus 2 and X, the company is also offering discounts on accessories as well.
