OnePlus 2 is set to make its debut later this month and the company has already revealed some key features inciting curiosity among the fans.

Display & Build:
Recently, several blueprints of the alleged OnePlus 2 surfaced online indicating that the upcoming device may come with a metal chassis.
In 2014, OnePlus One came with a 5.5-inch full HD (1,920x1,440p) screen and many are expecting the company to increase the display resolution in its successor to QHD (2,560x1,440p), which has become standard among current flagship smartphones.

Processor, RAM and Storage:
OnePlus 2 is confirmed to run on Snapdragon 810 series SoC (System on Chip), a faulty chipset, which brought bad reputation to HTC One M9 and Xperia Z4 series devices.
OnePlus has confirmed that the company has incorporated new v2.1 series of Snapdragon 810 CPU, which is free of over-heating glitch.
The company has equipped a new generation LPDDR 4 series 4GB RAM in the upcoming phone.

There is no official word on the storage capacity of OnePlus 2, but it is believed to come in 16GB and 64GB memory options like its predecessor.
Mobile Operating System:
Since the company has severed the ties with previous partner Cyanogen, OnePlus 2 will run on the HydrongenOS (in China)/ OxygenOS (in global market) based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop firmware.
Camera Features:
OnePlus 2 is said to feature the same 13mp camera with f/2.0 aperture seen in its predecessor, but the image processing will be improved with the incorporation of a laser-guided auto-focus feature.

There is no word on the front-camera features, but it is expected to come with either 5mp/8mp snapper with a slew of selfie camera apps to enrich photography experience.

Battery:
The company has also confirmed that OnePlus 2 will house a bigger 3,300mAh battery, 200mAh more than its predecessor (3,100mAh).
Value-Added Features:
The company has confirmed that OnePlus 2 will boast the advanced finger-print sensor, which is said to be more secured and faster than Touch ID system seen in the latest Apple iPhones.
OnePlus is the first flagship smartphone to boast latest Type C USB connector, which can be plugged to any device and also users need not even worry of orienting the port while plugging the device as its works reverse as well.
Another key improvement we will see in OnePlus 2 is that it will come with Dual-SIM slots.
Release Date:
Many OnePlus fans are already aware that the new OnePlus 2 will get unveiled on 27 July, but there is no word as to when it will be released. But, if history is taken as any indication, then one can expect the new phone to go on sale on the very same day via invite system.
Price:
The company has confirmed that OnePlus 2 will cost less than $450 (€415/₹28,560).
