OnePlus One is reported to get a price-cut in India, ahead of its successor, OnePlus 2's release next month.
Since OnePlus 2 is set to be made available on 11 August via Amazon India, many were worried that its predecessor may get discontinued. Well, the company has no such plans.
Vikas Agarwal, OnePlus, India head, in an interview with Business Today, confirmed that the company intends to continue to sell OnePlus One in India at least till December 2015. It has set a target of reaching 1 million (10 lakh) units sale (including One and 2) by the end of this year.
In that order, the company will cut prices of OnePlus One-16GB and 64GB- models in India soon, so the devices will be able to attract price sensitive middle class working population.
Currently, both the handset variants are being sold for Rs 21,998 and Rs 17,998 in India on Flipkart and Amazon. OnePlus hasn't detailed the timeline of price-cut, but it is expected to be announced before OnePlus 2 gets released in the second week of August.
