2015 is coming to a close, and Twitter has unveiled the most popular hash-tags that trended this year. Having been divided into distinctive categories of Music, TV, Tech, News, Politics, Sports, Past-times and Stars, the popular hashtags will allow us to reminisce about the year that was in just about five minutes.

Music
As expected, the British band One Direction is a topper in the Music category and is joined by the "Worth It!" singers Fifth Harmony. They are joined by the K-Pop bands EXO and Big Bang.

The two terror attacks in Paris by Isis made headlines many times this year, and that is reflected in the trends too, with four of the ten hash-tags reiterating the same. The "Black Lives Matter" campaign also was a trending topic this past year, along with the celebration of the marriage equality act passed by the Obama administration.
