One more hero from the Mega family (Tollywood actor-turned- politician Chiranjeevi and his kin) is entering the Telugu film industry.
Varun Tej, son of Naga Babu and nephew of Chiranjeevi, will soon follow the footsteps of his uncle and cousins (Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Teja), who are popular in Tollywood cinema. Buzz is that popular director Puri Jagannadh of "Pokkiri" fame might wield the megaphone for Varun's debut flick, reported Oneindia.
The film will reportedly be produced by Ashwini Dutt under the banner Vaijayanthi Movies. It has to be noted that the Ashwini-Puri combo worked for Ram Charan's debut film "Chirutha", which went on to become a super hit.
The debut films of Tollywood stars Allu Arjun (Gangotri), Mahesh Babu (Rajakumarudu) and Jr NTR (Student No.1) and Ram Charan (Chirutha) were produced by Ashwini. All these films were blockbusters and turned the actors into overnight stars. It is expected that Ashwini would produce Varun Tej's new film.
Earlier reports had suggested that the actor will make his debut in a youthful entertainer directed by Srikanth Addala. Speculations were also rife that Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra would play the female lead. However, there is no official word regarding the film, the director or the leading lady, so far.
It seems we need to wait a little more to get an official word about Varun's launch pad. Being born into the Mega family, it is no surprise that Varun would be entering the film industry. Expectations would be high on the actor as his family including father Naga Babu, uncles Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, cousins Allu Arjun and Ram Charan Teja have been successful in their careers.
Allu Arjun and Ram Charan are among the current crop of leading stars of Telugu cinema. It is yet to be seen if Varun Tej would be able sustain on his own in the industry.
