The Predator movie is making all the media headlines thanks to the film's star Olivia Munn. The X-Men movie actress had a scene with a registered sex offender cut from the sci-fi film. However, she is now being shunned by movie's director Shane Black and other male casts of the film after she flagged 20th Century Fox for hiring such an actor.
Olivia Munn has been particularly candid about the matter since it was her complaints to the studio that initially alerted them about Steven Wilder Striegel's past records.
"Our studio was not aware of Mr. Striegel's background when he was hired," Fox told The Associated Press. "Several weeks ago, when the studio learned the details, his one scene in the film was removed within 24 hours."
After flagging the studio and having the scene removed from the sequel, the actress is now claiming that she is now being shunned. Along with 11-year-old Jacob Tremblay, Mann was the only cast member to appear for an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, as the rest of the cast and crew had "backed out of scheduled interviews, presumably because of the subject matter of the deleted scene."
When it was asked to the actress about the absence of the rest of the star cast, she said, "It's a very lonely feeling to be sitting here by myself when I should be sitting here with the rest of the cast."
In a series of tweets, the actress explained as to why she still continues to promote the fourth film in the franchise.
"I'm contractually obligated. And from what I'm experiencing, I think they'd prefer I not show up. It would make everyone breathe easier," she tweeted.
I’m contractually obligated. And from what I’m experiencing, I think they’d prefer I not show up. It would make everyone breathe easier. Also, I worked really hard on this film, as did the rest of the cast and crew. Now that the scene is deleted I think audiences will love it. https://t.co/6MZxb4NZfT

After the news first broke about Steven Wilder Striegel's past records, Blake issued a statement on Thursday in which he stated that he was misled by a friend whom he really believed. Munn told The Hollywood Reporter that as of now, she has not directly spoken to director Blake and she would have appreciated it the apology was directed towards her privately.
"I had to see it online with everyone else," she said. "It's honestly disheartening to have to fight for something so hard that is just so obvious to me."
In addition to this statement, the @latimes also reported that Wilder said Shane was “aware of the facts” of his arrest. He made a “personal choice” to continually work with a convicted sex offender, but I didn’t have a choice. That decision was made for me. And that’s not okay. https://t.co/AHAyV19tJq
