Cab hailing service Ola has teamed up with OnePlus to bring the OnePlus 2 to interested buyers so they can have a closer look at the handset before buying it.
The OnePlus 2 will be just a tap away on the Ola mobile app in select cities. In the coming days, the Ola app will display a new OnePlus 2 icon within the app for users to click and book the handset for review.
The new facility, first of its kind, will be available in six Indian cities including, Bangalore, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai.
Starting with Bangalore and Chennai, Ola customers will be able to book the OnePlus 2 on 17 and 18 August, followed by Hyderabad and Mumbai on 21 and 22 August and finally in Delhi and Kolkata on 25 and 26 August.
"We are confident this initiative will resonate well with our fans and give them a chance to experience the dazzling OnePlus 2," Vikas Agarwal, general manager of OnePlus India said in a statement, The Mobile Indian reports.
Ola is making the offer look more appealing by offering a chance to win OnePlus 2 invites by requesting the handset for review. Customers who register with Ola app will also have a chance to win exciting freebies and invites.
The OnePlus 2 marks a remarkable upgrade over its widely-successful predecessor. The handset boasts of a 5.5-inch Full HD display, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C connector, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 13MP camera with laser AF and OIS.
The OnePlus 2 is available in 16GB or 64GB storage options and costs Rs. 22,999 and 24,999, respectively. The higher-end variant went on sale in India on Tuesday while the 16GB variant is set for a release later this year.
