After a lot of speculations and assumptions, it looks like the team of "OK Kanmani" has come to a conclusion regarding the release date for the movie. If reports are to be believed, the new Mani Ratnam movie would hit the screens on 24 April.
The news was shared by the US distributors of "OK Kanamani" through their Twitter page.

Earlier, there were reports that Mani Ratnam was planning to postpone the release of his movie from 10 April as Kamal Haasan had rescheduled "Uttama Villain's" release date on the same day. Moreover, the distribution of both the movies in US as well as in Kerala was being done by the same company.
The movie, which stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead, is touted to be an urban romantic flick set in Mumbai. The movie will be simultaneously released in Telugu and Tamil. In Telugu, the movie is titled as "OK Bangaram".
Meanwhile, Dulquer and Nithya are currently basking in the success of their recent Malayalam movie "100 days of Love" which was an urban romantic comedy flick. The duo is now expecting the momentum to carry forward to their next release together.
"OK Kanmani" has created a lot of buzz among fans with its extensive marketing strategies. The fans have already got a glimpse of the movie with the release of one-minute video of the song "Mental Manadhil" which received an overwhelming response from the audience.
The music for the movie has been composed by AR Rahman and was released earlier. The kind of audience reception that the trailer and the songs received shows the enormous expectation on the upcoming movie.
