After a grand opening, it looks like Mani Ratnam's new movie "OK Kanmani" has made an equally impressive collection in the US Box office. The reports suggest that the collection of the film's Tamil as well as Telugu versions has been outstanding at the box office since its release on 17 April.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that "OK Kanmani" and "OK Bangaram" have done extremely well at the box office and collection of the film is "Unstoppable".
"OK Kanmani" (Tamil) has collected a total of $349,213 (₹ 2.18 Cr) and "OK Bangaram" (Telugu) has made a total collection of $173,894 (₹ 1.09 Cr) in just three days (Thursday, Friday and Saturday).
The Sunday box office collection of both the movies is awaited and sources claim theatre occupancy for the day had been higher than any other day since the release.

Meanwhile, the ditributors of the film in US, Prime Media, said that the Mani Ratnam movie is the biggest blockbuster of their distribution career.

"OK Kanmani", starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead, has opened to overwhelming reviews by critics as well as the audience. The movie is a romantic flick, and is now considered to be one of the classiest films of Mani Ratnam.
Its music has been composed by AR Rahman, while cinematography was done by PC Sreeram. Other technical aspects of the flick were also appreciated.
