The official trailer of Malayalam film "Hi I'm Tony" directed by Jean Paul Lal alias Lal Jr has been released. This is Lal Jr's second directorial venture after "Honey Bee" (2013).
The trailer has already become popular and the film stars Lal, Asif Ali, Biju Menon, Mia George and Lena in the lead roles.
"Hi, I am Tony" is a psycho thriller based on happenings in a day in Bangalore. Lal will play the main character of Tony in his son's directorial venture.
Lal's look in the film has already made news. He is presented with a bald head and heavy beard. He was also seen in a different look in "Honey Bee," but this one is touted as the best.
Asif will play the character of Sakheer and Mia will play as Tina in this film. Tony (Lal) is the chairman of an IT company. The story is about how Tony enters the life of Sakheer and Tina and how he changes their life.
"Unlike Jr Lal's first film, which was all fun-filled, this film has a grey shade in it," actress Mia told IBTimes India, "The film will be a psycho thriller with lot of suspense in it and will not disappoint our audience."
Describing her character, she added, "The name of my character is Tina, who is there from starting till the end of the film. I am not supposed to reveal much about the film, but there is lot of expectations for this film."
Jr. Lal's first film "Honey Bee" was a romantic comedy entertainer starring Asif, Bhavana, Baburaj, Sreenath Bhasi, Archana Kavi, Balu and Lal in the lead roles. The film, however, received mixed reviews. Critics called the film as "chilled out" and some criticised the film to be an adaptation of the Hollywood film "Hangover."
With the super hit "Honey Bee" in hand, Lal Jr's second film "Hi I'm Tony" is expected to hit theatres in the month of July.
The music of the film is composed by Deepak Dev and the camera is handled by Alby. The film is produced by Siby Thottappuram and Joby Mundamattom under the banner of S J M Entertainments (SJME) in association with Sabir Jaseer of Ideas Inc. SJME has earlier produced "Honey Bee" and "Mannar Mathai Speaking 2."
