Fans of British band Oasis have been left disappointed after a Facebook post, which had sparked off rumours of a reunion, has been proved false.
The band posted a cryptic message on their Facebook page, teasing an announcement at 9am on Wednesday.
Fans have been praying and hoping that the rock band, which was formed in Manchester in 1991 and broke apart in 2009, would reunite.
However, it has now been confirmed that the video post that highlighted "26 Feb - 9 am" was only a teaser to announce that the band's 1994 debut "Definitely Maybe" will be reissued, to mark its 20th anniversary on 19 May.
The re-mastered version of the famous album will reportedly include rare and unreleased recordings, and will be available for digital download, as well as in CDs.
The band's official website 'oasisinet.com' was re-launched on Wednesday, featuring rare audio and video material.
Reacting to the news, a user, called LilliGxx, tweeted: "do oasis not realise we're in the 21st century, no one buys CD's any more if onlyyyyy it was a tour."
User Thom_dorke said: "So the news was oasis are re-releasing an album? Wasn't that announced at 7:30? Who's gets excited by a re-re-release?"
Following are some more reactions from the disappointed fans who have flooded Twitter with jokes and memes:
