Though the shooting of Mammootty's film "Fireman" has not yet begun, the star cast of the film is already making news. The latest update is that popular RJ and actress Nyla Usha will play a pivotal role in the film.
The actress will reportedly not play the lead character opposite Mammootty but will play the role of a police officer in the film. Earlier, it was said that Andrea Jeremiah will play this particular role in the film but the producers later confirmed Nyla's part in the movie.
This is for the third time that Nyla will be a part of a Mammootty movie. The actress had made her debut with "Kunjananthante Kada" directed by Salim Ahamed and had played the role of Mammootty's wife. Her second movie with Mammootty was "Gangster" directed by Aashiq Abu, in which she played the character of a bold Muslim girl.
Sources close to "Fireman" have hinted that Mammootty will not have a pair in the movie and the actor will play the role a fireman who is deeply focussed in his service and the challenges and adventures his job offers.
The makers of the movie had also confirmed the role of Unni Mukundan in the movie. Unni Mukundan has shared screen space in a cameo role with Mammootty in his latest flick "Rajadhiraja" and in 2011 movie "Bombay March 12". The young star also shared his excitement on working with the superstar.

Shooting of "Fireman" is expected to begin soon and the film is directed by Deepu Karunakaran. The film, which is touted to be a thriller, is produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy Films.
