Nvidia Tegra 3 Powered Xolo Play Tab 7.0 Launched for ₹12,999

Lava Mobiles' subsidiary company Xolo launched the much-anticipated PC Play Tab 7.0 quad-core tablet on Friday.

Commenting on the launch, Business Head (Xolo), Sunil Rana said, "As Xolo continues to deliver on its promise to bring differentiated technology to discerning consumers, we're replicating the success we've achieved in the smartphone category now in tablets. XOLO Play Tab 7.0 marks the first tablet in the XOLO Play category of products, powered by NVIDIA Tegra. Similar to Xolo Play T1000 smartphone launched in July, the Tab delivers similar entertainment now on a bigger 7-inch screen," reported The Mobile Indian.

Xolo Play Tab 7.0 sports an IPS LCD HD (1280x800p) display with pixel density of 216 pixels per inch and runs on the Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS, out-of-the-box.

Under the hood, it packs a 1.2GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core CPU and comes paired with ULP GeForce GPU. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).

The Xolo tablet houses a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera and on the connectivity front, it features Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and USB v2.0 port. The Only downside is that the device lacks cellular network support which rival Micromax's Canvas Tab P650 which boasts of voice-calling feature.

Xolo Play Tab is reported to be available at local retail stores for ₹12,999, across India from today.

The company is also rumored to launch another tablet PC - Nvidia Tegra 4 based Xolo Play Tegra Note, this month.
