Nandamuri Balakrishna has planned to place 100 busts of his late father, legendary actor NTR aka NT Rama Rao, in 100 cinema halls across the Telugu states to mark the release of NTR Kathanayakudu.
NT Rama Rao mesmerised the movie buffs from far and wide in his film career spanning nearly five decades. He is one of the legendary actors of Indian cinema. He also plunged into politics, floated a party and became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He also made a tremendous contribution to the Telugu states.
His son Nandamuri Balakrishna has decided to pay a tribute to his late father through a biographical movie, which will be released in two parts titled NTR: Kathanayakudu and Mahanayakudu. The first part of his biopic is slated to hit the screens on January 9 and its promotions are currently going on in full swing.
Along with Vidya Balan and director Krish, Balakrishna is visiting Vijayawada and Bengaluru cities on Monday for the promotion of NTR: Kathanayakudu. They will visit Tirumala and offer special prayers on Tuesday. Later, Balayya and team will visit the PJR theatre in Tirupati to unveil the first statue of NTR. The rest of the busts will be assembled on the release day i.e, on January 9th.

NTR Kathanayakudu has been written and directed by Krish of Kanche fame and produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati, Vishnu Induri under the banners NBK Films, Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram, Vibri Media banners. Balakrishna is seen in the role of NT Rama Rao and Vidya Balan essays the role of his wife Basavatarakam. MM Keeravani has composed music for the movie.
