This November will see several Tamil films gearing up for release.
Here is a list of a few biggies which will hit the screens next month:
"All in All Azaghuraja" (AAA)
"All in All Azhaguraja" (AAA) is a Diwali treat for Karthi fans. The film will have a wide release on 2 November.
"AAA" is the fourth film from director Rajesh's stable. His track record is good with all his past releases such as "Siva Manasula Sakthi", "Boss Engira Bhaskaran" and "Oru Kal Oru Kannadi" turning out to be big hits.
The Karthi starrer is a comedy entertainer in the likes of the aforementioned films. Santhanam, a regular in all of Rajesh's films, is also part of the "AAA" cast. Kajal Aggarwal, Prabhu, Saranya Ponvannan, Sri Ranjani and Radhika Apte among others appear in supporting roles.
The team is confident that the film will impress all quarters of society. "AAA" is produced by KE Gnanvelraja under the Studio Green banner.
The film will be shown in more than 300 screens in south India.
"Pandiya Nadu"
"Pandiya Nadu" is also set to hit screens on 2 November. Directed by Suseenthiran of "Naan Mahan Alla" fame, the Vishal starrer is touted to be the dark horse of all three films which are releasing during the festive season.
The film, an action-packed entertainer, is set in rural Madurai. It is produced by Vishal under his Vishal Film Factory banner and will release in around 250 screens across Tamil Nadu. It remains to be seen how the film fares in the face of strong competition from "Arrambam" and "All in All Azhaguraja".
"Irandam Ulagam"
Selvaraghavan's much-awaited film "Irandam Ulagam" will release on 22 November
"Irandam Ulagam", which was in the making for than a year, has been completed and the post-production work is in full swing.
Expectations are always high for a Selva film as the director is known for presenting varied subjects that appeal to the audience.
Trailers and songs have boosted the expectations of "Irandam Ulagam", which has Arya and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. The film belongs to fantasy thriller genre and involves a lot of CG work.
Ivan Vera Mathiri
Vikram Prabhu's second film "Ivan Vera Mathiri" has been confirmed to release in November. However, an official confirmation on the exact release date is still awaited.
Directed by Saravanan of "Engeyum Eppodhum" fame, "Ivan Vera Mathiri" has Vikram playing the role of a city-bred youth, unlike his first film "Kumki" in which he played a mahout.
The film, which is deemed as an action entertainer, will have Ganesh Venkatraman playing a pivotal role. UTV Motion Pictures and director N Lingusamy's Thirrupathi brothers have co-produced the film.
Pizza 2: The Villa
The film, a sequel to 2012-hit flick "Pizza", is expected to hit screens in November.
"Pizza 2: The Villa" was initially scheduled to release on 2 October . The exact release date is not yet announced.
The Tamil horror flick is written and directed by debutant Deepan Chakravarthy. It has Ashok Selvan and Sanchita Shetty in lead roles.
The film is produced by Thirukumaran Entertainments in collaboration with Studio Green. Santosh Narayan, "Pizza" music director, has composed the songs for the sequel as well.
"Vishwaroopam 2"
Kamal Haasan's magnum-pous "Vishwaroopam 2" was expected to release in November. But latest buzz doing the rounds is that the film might release in January 2014.
Directed by Kamal, "Vishwaroopam 2" is a spy thriller co-starring Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose and Waheeda Rahman among others.
