While many assume that celebrities are barely educated with no talent other than acting and modelling, there are some superstars who have proved the general perception wrong. Here are some of those celebrities who have proved their academic brilliance along with their artistic talent:

The 16-year-old star best known for the role of Luke Dunphy in the ABC series "Modern Family" graduated high school at the age of 13 and is a member of the coveted Mensa International, the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. - Danica McKellar ("The Wonder Years")
The actress who immortalised Winnie Cooper in "The Wonder Years" went on to become a reputed mathematician and has even a theorem named after her. She has also written many fun mathematics books to get kids interested in Algebra and Geometry. - James Franco
This actor/writer/producer/scholar/teacher stacks up degrees like Meryl Streep stacks up her awards. On top of being a long time student, he also taught at USC, UCLA, CalArts and NYU in Film and English departments. - Natalie Portman
The "Black Swan" star is not only a brilliant actress but also smart enough to co-author two psychology papers, published by Harvard. She is fluent in five languages and once told the New York Post, "I'd rather be smart than a movie star." She also has a high Erdős–Bacon number of 7. - Emma Watson
The "Harry Potter" actress has definitely made smarty-pants Hermione proud. In spite of her busy acting schedule, she went on to attend Brown University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English literature. She is also a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.
