The press shots of the rumoured Nokia Lumia 1520 (aka Bandit) phablet surfaced online, just weeks ahead of the the company's Nokia World Event in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Prolific Twitter spy, @evleaks, has posted a press image of a red hued Lumia 1520. The image is consistent with the earlier photos of the Nokia phablet which have been leaked in the past few months. The snapshot shows the front-side of Lumia 1520's monster screen featuring multiple (five) tile icons placed side-by-side in a single row. [To view the Lumia 1520 image, click here]
Lumia 1520, which is touted as Nokia's first ever phablet, will reportedly feature a 6.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display and is expected to run on the updated Windows Phone 8 GDR (General Distribution Release) 3.
Other rumoured specifications include 2GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor which can clock a CPU speed up to 2.3GHz. It is also expected to come with a high-end 20.8-megapixel camera on the rear side.
Word on the street is that the upcoming Nokia World event on 22 October will act as a launch pad for multiple devices including Lumia 1520 (phablet), Lumia 2520 (10.1-inch tablet PC) as well as a couple of Asha series budget handsets.
