Finnish handset maker Nokia's first ever Android-based smartphone Nokia X has received a price cut in India, barely a month after the launch of the handset in the country.
The smartphone, which was originally priced at ₹8,599 is now available for ₹7,729 on the company's India website. The price of the device has been slashed before the launch of Nokia's two Android smartphones -the Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, which are due for launch in a month. The company is likely to price XL slightly above Nokia X and the X+ at the same price range as X.
Nokia X ,which made its India entry in March sports a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) IPS LCD screen with pixel density of 233 ppi (pixels per inch) and is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core CPU, coupled with 512 MB RAM. It comes with X Software v1.0 OS and packs 4GB inbuilt memory, which is expandable up to 32GB.
It houses a 3.0-megapixel main camera without flash and comes loaded with 1500 mAh battery, which claims a talk time of upto 10.5 hours on 3G, 13.3 hours on 2G and up to 672 hours of standby time on 2G.The phone supports connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS and 3G. Nokia X is available in Black, Green, Cyan, Yellow, Red, and White colour variants.
