Finnish handset maker, Nokia has announced three new smartphones Lumia 930, Lumia 635 and Lumia 630 at the ongoing Microsoft Build 2014 developers' conference at San Francisco.
"Today we are introducing people to the best of Lumia and the best of Microsoft through three stunning devices based on Windows Phone 8.1. In addition to the new developments from Microsoft, Nokia is delivering people an uncompromised imaging experience, great design and better business phones," said Stephen Elop, executive vice president of Nokia's Devices & Services.
First up, Lumia 930 boasts of similar features seen inside the Verizon (USA) Lumia Icon as reported previously. It sports 5.0-inch full HD ClearBlack OLED screen with pixel density of 441 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the latest Windows Phone v8.1 OS powered by 2.2GHz snapdragon chipset backed by 2GB RAM and 32GB (non-expandable).
Like all high-end Nokia phones, Lumia 930 too ships with feature-rich 20.0-megapixel PureView camera with 2X zoom, Zeiss optics, ½.5-inch sensor, dual-LED flash, 26 mm camera focal-length and a pretty 1.2-megapixel camera enough to take good quality selfies.
On the other hand, Lumia 635 and Lumia 630 are entry level smartphones and pack pretty much the same specifications, except the former boasts a 4G-LTE support. Both devices flaunt a FWVGA (854x480p) display with pixel density of 221 ppi and ship with Windows Phone v8.1 OS, 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU, 512MB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 128GB) and a 5.0-megapixel camera (no LED flash support).
The Nokia Lumia 630 is expected to roll out in May, initially in Asia, India/Middle East, South America and Europe, for $159 (single-SIM variant), and $169( dual-SIM variant) excluding taxes. The Nokia Lumia 635 is expected to be broadly available, including in the US starting in this summer, from $189.
The top-end model Lumia 930 will hit stores in global markets in June for $559 (around ₹36,000) starting with Europe, Asia, Middle-East and India.
