Nokia Unveils 6.0-Inch Lumia 1520 with Snapdragon 800 CPU; Specifications and Price Details

Finnish handset major, Nokia today finally pulled the wraps-off the company's most powerful and biggest smartphone to date, Lumia 1520 at the Nokia World 2013 event, Abu Dhabi.

The new Lumia 1520 sports a monster 6.0-inch AMOLED full HD (1920x1080p) with pixel density of 368 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the updated Windows Phone 8 version -Lumia Black OS out-of-the-box.

Under-the-hood, it packs a beast, 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor backed by a sumptuous 2GB RAM, 32GB in-built memory (expandable up to 64GB) and like all high-end Lumia phones, it too boasts a feature-rich a 20.0-megapixel Pure View camera with 6-lens Carl Zeiss optics, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Dual-LED flash, f/2.4 aperture, Nokia Camera applications and 1.2-megapixel wide-angle HD front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture.  

Previous Nokia Lumia smartphones, despite featuring great camera specification were bogged down by sub-par 720p display and a dual processor, which made them inferior to leaders like Samsung, Apple and HTC smartphones. However, now with launch of Lumia 1520, the Finnish company has a true super phone to take on rivals head-on. 

Lumia 1520 is priced $749(₹46,200)-without taxes and will be available in five colours- orange, yellow, white, black, and glossy red. The company has confirmed that the new Lumia phone will  reach Hong Kong, US, China, U.K, France, Germany, Finland and other European markets by Q4, 2013.  

Apart from Lumia 1520, Nokia also unveiled five more devices- three budget Asha series handsets (Asha 500($69-₹4,260), Asha 502 ($89-₹4,500), Asha 503($99-₹6,100) - without taxes), a mid-range smartphone 6.0-inch Lumia 1320 ($339, around ₹20,900) and the company's first ever tablet PC 10.1-inch Lumia 2520 ($499- ₹30,790).

The Finnish company has also announced that the popular photo sharing app Instagram and other social video sharing app, Vine will be made available to Lumia devices, which were have been demanded by Nokia fans since the launch of Lumia device series.
